CHINA -- China officially has a new leader.
Today, the country's rubber-stamp national legislature elected Xi Jinping as the nation's new president.
The elevation of Xi to the presidency gave him the last of the three titles held by his predecessor, Hu Jintao.
Many expected the move after leaders named Xi head of the communist party and chairman of its military last November in a once-a-decade handover to a new group of leaders.
