CORPUS CHRISTI - It was certainly nice to see a few areas get a few rain drops this morning as a front moved through the Coastal Bend in the early morning hours. Officially at the airport, we got six hundredths of an inch with similar values along the coast and lesser amounts for the inland areas. Unfortunately, residents in our southern and extreme western counties were completely skipped. There is another surge of cool air that will arrive later tonight and reinforce the previous front and that will lead to chilly morning for the next couple of days.
Tonight, look for mainly clear skies with the exception of a few high clouds and winds to still be fairly breezy out of the north around 10-20mph. This will keep temperatures from falling too much as we should bottom out in the mid to upper 40s. Definitely a light jacket or sweater may be necessary if you have evening plans.
Monday looks fantastic with sunny skies and much drier air in place. The winds will still be on the breezy side around 15-25mph, but they should begin to subside the further into the afternoon hours we go. Afternoon highs will top out in the lower to mid-70s.
The rest of the work week, which is Spring Break for many, will be simply gorgeous with mainly sunny skies. A few clouds will begin to roll back in around mid-week; however, the sunny conditions will be the dominant factor. Winds will begin to relax and afternoon temperatures will hover in the upper 70s to lower 80s which will make for great beach weather!
Have a great week!
