Child Migrants Sent Back in First Round of Deportations

HONDURAS - There's been progress in dealing with the immigration crisis since it first started unraveling.

Officials have carried out the first round of deportations.

A group of immigrants from honduras were the first to be sent back to the country.

The 12 girls, 9 boys and 17 women were flown to Honduras Monday.

The country's first lady was at the airport to greet them as they returned home.

The migrants were processed back into the country and each were given some basic goods.

Leaders in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala have been urged to address the violence and poverty in their nations that lead many people to illegally cross into the U.S.
