PORTLAND - State Troopers have confirmed the 4-year-old boy killed in yesterday's rollover crash near Portland was the only member of the family not wearing a seat belt.
Tayden Davis was pronounced dead after he was thrown from the family's Chevy Tahoe along County Road 2004.
His 8-year-old sister, 3-year-old cousin, and his mother were injured in the crash. Kasara Escamilla is still hospitalized with two spinal fractures.
Authorities say Escamilla swerved to miss a rock in the road, lost control, and rolled her Tahoe at least three times.
It's not clear if the son was never buckled in at all, or was able to undo his seatbelt.
