CORPUS CHRISTI -- A group of giddy girls met up at the American Bank Center this afternoon for a tour and to watch the performance of a popular Christmas ballet.
The girls are part of an organization called ChicasRock.
Young ladies eight to seventeen years old learn how to play instruments like the drums and guitar.
They also learn about building self esteem and confidence.
After their tour of the American Bank Center, the girls met the cast of the Corpus Christi Ballet's Nutcracker
and watched a performance.
We talked to one of the girls in the group who joined ChicasRock with her sister because she loves to sing.
Nora Seleste Canales said, "We're all friends. We love each other and like I always say, come over no matter what. God always has a plan for you no matter what gift he gives you, don't be afraid. Come out and try something new."
