CORPUS CHRISTI - Chasity Longbine, the woman charged with the murder of her boyfriend last May, appeared in court this afternoon for a status hearing.
Longbine's attorney says they are currently waiting on a ballistics test results to come in. The judge said they will continue to have status hearings once a month until the trial begins.
Both Chasity Longbine and her father, Dennis, are charged for the death of Jesus "Jesse" Quintanilla inside an apartment on Hancock Street back in May.
At the time, only the 25-year-old daughter was arrested. She told police she was the only person in the apartment with her boyfriend at the time of the shooting.
However, her 56-year-old father told a local reporter the next day that he shot the victim with a .22 caliber pistol.
Police caught up with Dennis Longbine during a traffic stop later that day and took him in for questioning.
According to the Medical Examiner, Quintanilla was shot multiple times with a .22 caliber weapon and possibly a larger caliber weapon.
