Chase Started in Rockport Ended in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man who was causing a disturbance at the Rockport City Hall led police on a pursuit that ended in the parking lot of the Corpus Christi Police Department.

It began this morning when Rockport Police responded to a call for a man who was yelling and screaming at city hall employees.

As officers arrived, the suspect, 49-year-old Charles Price, took off.

He led police on a chase through Portland, over the Nueces Bay Causeway, across the Harbor Bridge and into downtown Corpus Christi.

Price finally pulled into the Corpus Christi Police Department's parking lot, where he was tasered after confronting police officers there.

He was checked out by medics before being taken back to Rockport.
