CORPUS CHRISTI - The Chaparral Street construction project that has been ongoing for months is slowly beginning to finish. Today, the City of Corpus Christi plans to re-open three intersections to traffic. Motorists will be able to drive through Chaparral at Williams Street, Lawrence Street, and Schatzell Street. Although those intersections will be open, Chaparral Street still has a little ways to go before opening entirely. Business owners have expressed frustration, at times, with the project citing construction as the cause for declining business.
