Chapa Honored on Last Day as City Secretary

CORPUS CHRISTI - Longtime Corpus Christi City Secretary Armando Chapa is retiring. Today, he was honored during the city council meeting.

Chapa started working with the city in 1978 as a department head for employment programs. Seven years later, he was named the City Secretary.

Chapa thanked his staff for their hard work and for "making him look good." The city still needs to find a replacement for Chapa.
