SAN ANTONIO - The suspect in a Central Texas double homicide has been found dead at the bottom of a cliff.
San Marcos Police say they found the body late Thursday of 23-year-old Daniel Brewster Stillwell inside his car at the bottom of a rural, winding road.
Police had focused on Stillwell as a suspect in the shooting deaths of 22-year-old Hailey Nicholls and her 26-year-old boyfriend Jesse Robledo. Police say Stillwell and Nicholls had dated until recently.
According to an arrest affidavit, Stillwell called his roommate after the shootings and told him what he had done. The affidavit says Stillwell also told his roommate he "was going to kill himself by driving off a cliff."
