Cemetery Comes To Life For Veteran's Day

CORPUS CHRISTI -- history comes alive today at the old Bayview Cemetery in honor of Veteran's Day.

The cemetery is special since it is the oldest military cemetery west of the Mississippi.

It's the fourth year for this event where people were led on a walking tour, learning about the cemetery's history.

But, this isn't your average tour.

The guides dressed in period costumes...and what better way to learn than to tell an interesting story about history.

Georgiana Niemeyer said, "You can come out here, walk around and be able to learn about them from people who can teach you a little bit. It just brings it to life."
