CORPUS CHRISTI - The Corpus Christi Police Department has raided eight local shops accused of selling synthetic marijuana. We're told more information will be released during an upcoming news conference.
For now, police say they searched the shops as part of a 16-month long undercover investigation looking into the sale of synthetic marijuana and illegal drug paraphernalia.
'Operation Imitation Nation' involves 8 arrest warrants and 8 search warrants.
A check of 3 shops by our crews turned up officers wearing masks to conceal their identities as the conduct their search. Officers at one location were seen removing the surveillance cameras from the shop.
