CORPUS CHRISTI - A group of Corpus Christi Army Depot workers held a protest outside of Congressman Blake Farenthold's office Wednesday afternoon.
The group of about 30 union workers were protesting cuts and furloughs they could face beginning Friday. That's when $85 billion will be slashed from federal spending unless a deal is reached in Washington.
The protesters say they're not happy with Farenthold's voting record on this issue so they want to send him a message.
But, in Washington, the two sides don't even have a negotiation scheduled until Friday.
