Cats Who Throw Together, Win Together - GP's Dyanmic Duo

PORTLAND - Gregory-Portland High School is sending a small contingent to the 2013 State Track and Field Championships, but they should be more than competitive in the throwing events.

Nationally ranked Haley Teel is a favorite to win the Class 4A Discus and Shot Put, she is sitting first heading into the State Meet. While teammate and standout Running Back Devin Bisby will be making his first appearance at State set to compete in the Shot Put.

"Haley threw further than I did at first and I mean I just wanted to get this over and go run and stay in shape for football but Coach McKinney worked me out good and so far been doing pretty good," said Bisby who has only been throwing for a year.

This will be Teel's third trip to State and she plans to make the most of it.

"I am going into the meet first in both, and since this is my third time I shouldn't get nervous and hopefully take first in both," she said.
