CORPUS CHRISTI - In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, one of the authors who writes the Cat in the Hat series visited Corpus Christi. The author, Tish Rabe, spent part of her afternoon at the Ben F. McDonald public library on Greenwood hanging out with excited kids. She also signed books, read and talked to children about her career.

"One of the biggest messages that I like to convey to these kids is that you can not be a children's book author and a writer if you're not a reader." she said. "You really need to read and get involved in books and love books as much as I did as a child and maybe someday you'll be an author too."
