CORPUS CHRISTI - Carroll's Vanessa Franco became the third Lady Tiger soccer standout to sign her national letter of intent this week, when the senior inked with Hendrix College out of Arkansas on Friday afternoon.
"When I went there I just had an awesome feeling. I knew I was going to be there for four years. I got there and I was looking around the campus and I told my parents I'm going to be here for four years," she said.
Franco, who is a two time all-district selection, called the moment a dream come true.
She's a real life story of hard work paying off, as she tore her ACL in 2009, but never gave up instead just worked harder and harder.
Franco now joins her teammates Daniela Gonzalez and Yvette Franco who each signed letters of intent on Thursday.
