CORPUS CHRISTI - Leaders at Carroll High School have found a way to keep students from ditching class and stay focused on graduation.
For the first time, the school has launched a program called GRAD. It encourages students to focus not just on finishing, but on life after high school, including setting and achieving career goals.
Students meet with two instructors once each week to talk about obstacles they are facing and how they can stay motivated.
We're told that some students went from missing an entire semester to increasing attendance by 75%.
Officials tell us they plan on expanding the high school program next year.
