CORPUS CHRISTI - The man suspected of a violent carjacking on North Beach in November of last year pleaded not guilty to aggravated robbery.

27 year old David Vasquez is accused of attacking a 30 year old waitress as she walked to her car while leaving the Fajitaville restaurant.

She told police that he was armed with a knife and forced her into her own car.

She fought back, nearly biting off his finger, but suffered a broken nose.

DNA evidence helped identify Vasquez.

He was arrested by San Antonio police.

His trial date has been set for December 3rd.
