Cardenas Receives Maximum Sentence for Intoxication Assault

Cardenas Give 20 Years for Intoxication Assault - KZTV

CORPUS CHRISTI - Christian Cardenas has received the maximum sentence following his guilty plea for intoxication assault.

The 22-year-old admitted to driving drunk and hitting 52-year-old Jeff Crotzer, on a bike, near Tarlton and Crosstown last year then taking off.

Witnesses followed Cardenas, where he hit a fire hydrant, then ditched his car at Prescott and Tarlton. Police caught him in a nearby Stripes store.

He faced up to 20 years in prison, and that is what a judge sentenced him to today.
