Call to Report Stolen Jeep Seems Fishy to CCPD

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man lands in jail after he called police early this morning to report someone had stolen his Jeep.

Officers were suspicious about the call from 25-year-old Mick Jarvis.

Why? Because they'd already found his Jeep crashed near Alameda and Robert.

Police questioned Jarvis and determined he had left his Jeep there after slamming into a utility pole.

He allegedly got a ride home and tried to cover his tracks by reporting the Jeep as stolen.

Instead he was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
