LAKE CORPUS CHRISTI - Fire crews are still out in Lake Corpus Christi dealing with hot spots from yesterday's fire that destroyed to vacant homes on Christmas day.
A bulldozer is being used to cover up any areas of smoldering brush near the KOA camp site.
Residents claim someone using fireworks started the fire that consumed about 200 acres of brush in the Hideaway Hills neighborhood in Swinney Switch.
Ninety residents were evacuated from their homes during the day and night before being allowed to return home around midnight.
