CORPUS CHRISTI - If you did not mind the wind today, it was a great day to be outdoors and especially good for the beach-goers enjoying their Spring Break. Wind gusts this afternoon have topped 35+mph with temperatures in the 70s along the water and mid-80s inland.
Tonight, expect the winds to still be fairly brisk out of the south-southeast at 10-15mph with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will only fall into the mid-60s.
Sunday will be even warmer than this afternoon as we challenge hitting the 90 degree mark in the afternoon as we see partly to mostly sunny skies. I think we will stop right around 89 degrees; while inland locations out to our west and south could very well hit and pass 90 tomorrow afternoon. Winds will still be fairly breezy out of the southeast around 10-20mph with gusts around 30+.
A front looks to arrive late Monday night into early Tuesday morning (after seeing 90 degree temps Monday afternoon) which will provide little relief as far as "cool" weather is concerned. Temperatures will still top out in the upper 70s to lower 80s Tuesday afternoon. At this point, rainfall chances look very small and only increase slightly when the front stalls and moves back up, in our general direction, and may ignite a few showers and sprinkles on Wednesday. Another front looks to arrive around the end of next week and deliver chance at seeing cooler temperatures.
Have a great weekend!
