CORPUS CHRISTI - Some Corpus Christi kids spent their Tuesday getting a hands-on approach to healthy living.
The Boys & Girls Club took a group of kids, ages 7-13, to a supermarket to teach them about nutrition.
The group learned the value of eating healthful foods and the importance of reading nutrition labels.
"We were looking for soups, healthy snacks like...whole wheat crackers, bread, yogurt, cheese-- all that healthy stuff," said Lauren Cavada.
Representatives with The Boys & Girls Club said they're also working with parents to help them make better nutrition choices for their families.
