CORPUS CHRISTI - A Border Patrol agent was flown by Halo Flight to a Corpus Christi hospital this morning after a two vehicle accident on 281 just North of Alice.
The Jim Wells County Sheriff says the Border Patrol SUV as traveling east on CR 227 when it crashed into an oil and gas services company SUV that was traveling north on highway 281.
30-year-old Sigifredo Nunez, an employee of Tetra, was driving the company truck. He was taken to Spohn Alice. The Border Patrol agent was flown by HALO to Corpus Christi. Both men are said to have non-life threatening injuries.
Accident investigators say the Border Patrol agent, who was on the way to an emergency call, failed to yield the right of way.
