LAREDO - Border patrol agents seized more than $1.6 million in marijuana in two separate drug busts this week. In Laredo, agents stopped the driver of a tractor trailer and found several black plastic bags with almost 700 pounds of marijuana; the other bust happened in Hebbronville.
Agents stopped two suspicious pick-up trucks and one of them took off. They later found that truck along with one thousand 300 pounds of marijuana hidden in the bed of the truck. Overall, the pot amounted to 2,000 pounds. Both cases are still under investigation.
