CORPUS CHRISTI - Chasity Longbine, a suspect in the shooting death of her boyfriend, appeared in court this afternoon for a bond hearing and may get out of jail soon. Her attorney asked for bond to be reinstated.
A judge had revoked her bond earlier this month. The same judge reinstated her bond today, but she'll have to submit to psychiatric evaluations while out on bond. So far, a trial date has not been set.
Both Chasity Longbine and her father, Dennis, are charged for the death of Jesus "Jesse" Quintanilla inside an apartment on Hancock Street back in May.
Only the 25-year-old daughter was arrested at the time. She told police she was the only person in the apartment with her boyfriend at the time of the shooting.
However, the 56-year-old father told a local reporter the next day that he was the person that shot the victim with a .22 caliber pistol. Police caught up with the father during a traffic stop later that day and took him in for questioning.
According to the Medical Examiner, Quintanilla was shot multiple times with a .22 caliber weapon and possibly a larger caliber weapon.
