CORPUS CHRISTI -- The man accused of murder at a Whataburger was in court this morning for a bond reduction hearing, but a decision was postponed due to another pending case against him.
Alvarez's attorney intends on asking the judge to lower his $200,000 bond.
Police said Alvarez punched Aaron Juarez, 25, after Juarez accidentally dinged a vehicle in the parking lot of the Whataburger on Saratoga and Cimmaron back on June 1st. According to a witness, Juarez got out his car and opened the passenger side door of the other car in an attempt to apologize.
Officials say Juarez was punched at least once and that caused him to fall and hit his head on the concrete. Juarez died at the hospital.
Alvarez did not stay at the Whataburger that night. He was arrested a few days later.
