CORPUS CHRISTI - A boat left adrift south of Bob Hall Pier is drawing some attention along the beach. Police and firefighters were called to check out the boat that eventually became stuck on a sandbar.
There's no one onboard the vessel that is in rough shape. A representative with the General Land Office says the vessel sank last week and obviously someone got it up and running again.
The vessel bears the name 'Stock Picker', but there are no registration numbers visible on the hull.
A man who spoke to us on the beach a short time ago says he was helping someone out by refloating the boat and towing it. However, during the tow something went wrong and it started taking on water. Rather than jeopardizing his boat he decided to cut it loose and leave it adrift for now.
Officials are working on getting someone out there to tow the boat away. In the meantime, Texas Parks and Wildlife says they'll be talking to everyone involved to find out what happened.
