CORPUS CHRISTI - The lines outside local retail stores are growing at this hour as folks begin to gear up for tonight's Black Friday sales.
They're kicking off a little early this year, and eager shoppers are making sure they don't miss the savings.
We caught up with these shoppers, starting our day off at Best Buy, where at 9 this morning there was already a line of people waiting outside.
Snacks, sleeping bags, and tents were a must for the crowds that started lining up Wednesday afternoon.
I asked Jesus Santos, one shopper, what it was like sleeping outside last night and he says, "It was alright. Not comfortable, but it was alright."
This was all in hopes of getting something special on their wish list, at a very special cost.
Robert Rodriguez actually works at Best Buy. Even though he has to be at work at 7 am, these deals were too good to miss.
Rodriguez says, "I have to go to work from 7 to 8. Not one hour, the whole clock rotation. Definitely go for those energy drinks."
Next stop on our list, Target, where the lines started at around noon for the 9 pm sale start time.
We spoke with Chris Collins who was first in line, and he was already questioning his decision.
Collins says, "I have a lot of second thoughts while sitting in line for 9 hours, 10 hours. But once you're in there and you get what you want, it's worth it."
And Collins has a plan to make those hours fly by, "We are trying to see if there is one or two things we can grab online at the right price."
The last stop on our trip, Sears, where the doors open even earlier, 8 pm. So instead of going to Thanksgiving dinner, shoppers were having their dinners come to them.
Raul De Leon who was in line since 8 am says that his family had him covered, "They are fixing to bring my plate here pretty soon."
So at least if they are waiting in line, they will still be ableto eat some delicious turkey.
