CORPUS CHRISTI - The driver of an 18-wheeler had a close call today when he ran the big rig off the road. The man told police a white Toyota Sedan was driving toward him and swerving into his lane.
To avoid an accident, the truck driver swerved off the road. The big rig ended up stick in the mud on the side of the road so another truck had to come and tow the 18-wheeler away.
The man told police he had just finished emptying the crude oil from the tank and was heading back toward the highway when the incident happened. Officers said no one was injured or cited.
