CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman was caught off guard when a bicyclist slammed into her car Wednesday morning.
Officers say the woman was pulling out of a parking lot on Everhart and Middlecoff, when the bicyclist came from behind the bushes and hit her car.
The man, in his seventies, ended up sliding over the hood of the car before landing on the ground.
He was taken to the hospital after complaining of pain. Officers say his injuries did not look serious.
The driver was not cited because the man was riding on the sidewalk against traffic, two things bicyclists are not allowed to do.
