CORPUS CHRISTI - Fire crews evacuated an entire hotel at around 5:00 today when one of the rooms caught fire. It happened on the second floor of the Best Western near Highway 37 and Violet. When firefighters got there they said they saw flames shooting out of the room. It took fire officials about five minuets to control the fire. No one was actually staying in the room at the time of the fire and everyone got out of the building safely. Firefighters suspect the fire started from an air conditioning unit inside that hotel room. The hotel remains open with the exception of that one room.
