SAN ANTONIO - Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who disappeared in Afghanistan in 2009 and was held as a prisoner by the Taliban for five years, is set to be formally questioned by an army investigator Wednesday at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
Bergdahl met with his attorney, Eugene Fidel, on Tuesday to prepare for the questioning.
The army began a fact-finding investigation into Berghdahl's case shortly after he was released from captivity in May.
At the time of his release, the White House hailed Bergdahl as a hero. Others, however, have accused him of being a deserter.
