Belly Dancing For A Good Cause

CORPUS CHRISTI - Things were heating up at the zumba studio on Staples today as local belly dancers shook their hips for a good cause. The event cost $10 and all of the proceeds go to Casa of the Coastal Bend. The show also included famed Spanish belly dancer, Silvia Salamanca. The dancers say it's nice to let go of life's troubles for a little while and just dance.

"You know, for a lot of these women it is their get away. It's their moment in time whether it be an hour each week or a coupe of hours each week, but they get with their friends they get to dance and they get to forget about all the fun stuff of life. Bills, home, house chores and just have fun and dance," said Lacey Williams.
