Beeville Killer Still on the Loose

CORPUS CHRISTI - Beeville are still on the search for a killer.
73-year-old Truman Brown was found murdered in his home Wednesday morning. A friend of Brown's who would check in on him every morning discovered the body around 7am and called police. Officers say Brown was stabbed multiple times in his chest.
"How can they just come into his home and kill him in cold blood. Just, for no reason. No apparent reason. What is the reason?" said a friend of Brown's for over 5 years.
That's the question all of Brown's friends were asking themselves after they learned he had been murdered. Brown's friends say he was a very loving and kind old man. He loved the outdoors, spending time in his garden and with the birds.
Police believe Brown was murdered sometime Tuesday evening after 6pm. And one close friend remembers a phone conversation she had with Brown that night before he was murdered.
"He called and said honey, I don't need anything I just wanted to know if you got home alright. Cus he would call me every evening to see If I got home ok," said that friend.
That friend says that conversation shows Brown's personality perfectly.
"He would give you the shirt off his back if he had to," said that same friend.
The Beeville police chief says no neighbors saw or heard anything, so the Texas Rangers have been brought in to help find Brown's killer.
