CORPUS CHRISTI - A spectacular start to the weekend as we began the day with a few clouds and ended the day under mostly clear skies. It was certainly a great day to be outdoors and enjoy the cool temperatures and sunshine. Expect temperatures to slowly warm up as the northerly component to the winds for our area, which ushered in some dry and stable air, will be replaced by a southerly wind and bring Gulf moisture back into South Texas. The result will be slightly warmer temperatures in the overnight and afternoon hours. Though, I do not thing they will get outrageous and should remain somewhere in the upper 70s to lower 80s for afternoon highs for the next several days.

Tonight, we will start off with mainly clear skies that will quickly lead to partly/mostly cloudy skies by morning (especially for our western counties) with an overnight low in the mid to upper 50s and generally light winds out of the east-northeast at 5-10 miles per hour.

Sunday will be another great day with a mix of clouds and sun overhead and slightly warmer temperatures than today with a high of 77. Winds start off out of east and gradually transition to the south, but will overall remain light to moderate around 10-15.

Forecast from the National Weather Service, Corpus Christi

Ample moisture from the west out in the Pacific Ocean will continue its eastward movement towards South Texas and increase cloud cover for a good portion of the next seven days. There may be an isolated pocket of a shower or two, but overall will remain limited in coverage for the first half of the work week. By mid-week into Thanksgiving, the chance for a few more showers increases just slightly in areal coverage, but a washout is not expected. Outdoor activities for the Thanksgiving holiday should remain good with only that isolated shower or two possible. Afternoon highs should reach the upper 70s.

Have a great Sunday!
