CORPUS CHRISTI - We had a gorgeous Saturday in the Coastal Bend as the skies were crystal clear with temperatures on the cool side as a dry high pressure system settled into the region today. Winds were a bit breezy at times today, but overall was not a big problem for outdoor activities.
Tonight, expect clear skies as temperatures will tumble another night into the lower 40s with light winds out of the south around 4-8mph.
Sunday will begin sunny and bright before the clouds begin to roll in around the noon timeframe. The dry high pressure will steadily move towards our east and this will result in winds ramping up from the south-southeast and we will start to see the wind kick up around noon-1pm around 15-25mph with some gusts as high as 30. Boaters and mariners should use extreme caution if plans are in order for being out in open waters tomorrow afternoon. Southerly winds means more moisture back into South Texas and this will kick up temperatures in the lower to mid-70s by tomorrow afternoon.
There is another front that will approach early Tuesday morning and this will surge our Monday temperatures into the lower to mid-80s. Overrunning conditions will begin to occur as the front washes our and southeast winds take over once again and will lead to a few showers late Tuesday, Wednesday, and early Thursday before slowly clearing out and warming up again ahead of the next front late Thursday.
Have a great weekend!
