Beat the Heat at City's Senior Centers

CORPUS CHRISTI - If you're one of those people who are stuck without air conditioning during these sweltering hot days, the city is offering you some relief.

People gathered at the Lindale Senior Center this morning for the the fifth annual "Beat the Heat" project.

The City of Corpus Christi partnered with Reliant Energy to give people a chance to escape the blistering summer heat.

The cooling center is free and is open to any South Texas resident that wants to get out of the hot sun.
