CORPUS CHRISTI - Local police are looking for a man who robbed three convenience stores overnight. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black beanie, flannel shirt/jacket with a hood, camouflage shorts and barefoot.
He first showed up carrying a stick inside the Stripes store at Brownlee and Agnes around 1:00 a.m. The suspect demanded money from the register and the clerk's wallet. Police say the clerk told the man he did not have a wallet, so the suspect settled for cash from the register and a pack of cigarettes.
Roughly an hour later the same suspect came into a Stripes Store on Corpus Christi beach. This time he was armed with a hammer. The clerk gave the suspect the cash from the register and his wallet.
Another hour later police in Portland reported the same suspect robbed a Snappy Foods Store.
If you have any information on this suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-TIPS.
