Ballpark Named After Fallen Hero

CORPUS CHRISTI - A baseball field was named in honor of the Corpus Christi Marine who was fatally stabbed in New Orleans.

The dedication ceremony took place Saturday morning at the Oil Belt Little League Fields.

Seargant Ryan Lekosky and his wife were leaving a marine ball on Halloween of 2010, when a man fatally stabbed him.

Lekosky played baseball for Tuloso-Midway High School.

His love for the game is one of the reasons why the Oil Belt Little League named one of their fields in his honor.
