CORPUS CHRISTI - A local group of mothers known as "20 hearts for the 20 children killed in Connecticut" is helping to support that community.
They've been cooking the past several days in an effort to raise money for the Sandy Hooks Support Fund made through The United Way. One of the mothers asked for donations today at Moore Plaza.
People who gave received a stack of cookies in exchange. The group is hoping to give away 500 stacks of cookies.
"I think everyone should come to get together to help make it a little bit easier to help," said supporter, Katie Brunkenhoefer.
