CORPUS CHRISTI - A Nueces County jury has found Beau Baker not guilty of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old family member. Baker, a former pharmacist with Driscoll Children's Hospital, testified that he awoke one morning to find himself kissing on the girl.
Baker's brother also took the stand saying he has a past history of sleep walking and talking. The brother also said he has engaged in sexual activity while sleeping, but wakes up with no memory the next morning.
A pediatric nurse who examines sexual assault victims testified she did not find any injuries but said the young girl told her, "My dad was just sleeping. He was not thinking smart. He put his mouth in my private."
Baker had come forward with an admission about the incident to a coworker on the same day he brought the girl to the hospital.
