CORPUS CHRISTI - Some middle school students from Corpus Christi went up the Washington, D.C. this weekend to compete in something called the National Science Bowl. It's a jeopardy-like academic competition that tests students' knowledge in all areas of science. After placing first in the regional competition back in February, the group of 7th and 8th graders from Baker Middle School made their way to the capitol to test their knowledge. Today they placed 8th out of 46 competing middle schools. They'll be taking home a $1,000 dollar prize. They say they plan to use that money to update the school's science equipment.
