Auto Theft Suspect Tracked Down in Aransas Pass

ARANSAS PASS - Based on evidence taken from a recovered stolen car, police in Aransas Pass arrested 22-year-old Jason Nagel this afternoon for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Investigators believe Nagel is also responsible for a series of overnight auto burglaries as well. They discovered the stolen car, parked on the side of the road with two flat tires, while checking into the reported burglaries.

Police also noted that many of the burglaries wouldn't have happened if the owners locked their doors and didn't keep valuables inside.
