CORPUS CHRISTI - An auto theft suspect gave up without a fight last night during a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Leopard. Police say Bruce Garcia, 18, was not wearing a seat belt when he was pulled over driving a 1999 Buick Regal.

The officer did not know yet that the vehicle was stolen, but Garcia already had his hands up and out the driver's side window.

Police say the car was stolen from outside a bar on Port Avenue on February 8th. It is now in the impound waiting for the registered owner to pick it up.

Garcia is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
