AUSTIN - Authorities in Texas and Wisconsin worked together this week to track down a 16-year-old alleged forced into prostitution by 27-year-old Deondre J. Jenkins. Jenkins was arrested in Austin this week as well.
The Texas Attorney General's Office says Jenkins used the internet to place classified ads in which he solicited for paid sexual encounters with the runaway teen.
Jenkins allegedly took the girl to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. According to officials she was forced to engage in at least 100 paid sexual encounters.
The girl is now back in Austin. Jenkins was arrested as he returned to Austin and is now being held at the Travis County Jail on a charge of felony trafficking a child for sexual purpose.
