CORPUS CHRISTI - A group of at least 5 thieves tore down a security barrier inside a CVS early this morning to steal the ATM by yanking it out the front door with a stolen van.
Police released surveillance video of the group wrapping a chain around the machine before making two attempts to get it out the door.
All of this happened at the 24-hour shop was still open at 3 in the morning.
The van used to steal the machine was stolen as well. Police found it a block away from Everhart and Saratoga.
According to the company that manages the machine, the theives never got away with any cash, just the computer monitor. The safe part of the machine stayed put.
