CORPUS CHRISTI - A 45-year-old man is jailed after police say he went looking for a rematch following an earlier fight. The victim ended up losing not only the fight, but his work boots, two cell phones and wallet.
According to police, around 11 o'clock last night the victim was sitting in front of a pizza shop along S.P.I.D. in Flour Bluff as he waited for his sister. He decided to take off his boots while he waited.
That's when Albert Guerrero is accused of beating the victim and stealing his stuff. While paramedics treated the victim, the search started for Guerrero who reportedly jumped a fence heading northbound.
Police later found him hiding under a sleeping bag between two businesses. Officers did find the victim's wallet, boots and cell phones, but his cash was gone.
Guerrero is charged with robbery.
