Paint the lot is a tradition at W.B.Ray High School that many seniors participate in to show their creativity and to find the best parking spot for the new school year. Throughout the years, seniors have been using their artistic designs to identify which parking spot is theirs. Not only is this a good way to remember which spot is whose it also hepls to keep other students from taking marked spots. Consequences for taking another persons spot can range from an announcement warning addressing all students, to one specific student's car being towed from the lot. So, if you're thinking about parking in the W.B. Ray student parking lot, keep an eye out for the painted spots. :)
This took place on Saturday, Oct. 5th in the W.B. Ray student parking lot from 4 pm - 8 pm. Students were given spray paint to design their spots. But no worries, there were a few teachers supervising the use of the paint, as well as making sure that what students designed was appropriate for school. The cost of each parking space was about $30; this money goes to the funding of the senior prom. Thanks seniors for supporting our prom and hope y'all had a great time painting your very own parking spots!
