CORPUS CHRISTI - Police are now looking for wedding planner Justin Lee Olle. He operated Justin Lee Designs, a company that's been the focus of 39 complaints by brides-to-be.
According to police, Olle paid P.O.E.T.S. Family Restaurant with $8,400 in hot checks. There's now a warrant out for his arrest on a felony theft charge.
Detectives believe Olle is no longer living in Texas. They're still investigating the complaints of his customers.
None of the Justin Lee Designs we've spoken with since May 20th have received promised refunds from Olle. Even though Olle told them he planned on issuing refunds the same week.
Some families paid five, ten, fifteen, even twenty thousand dollars on planned events for their weddings.A 'closed' sign was placed on the front door of the business shortly after our first report.
Essentially, his clients were told 'the checks in the mail.'
A simple search of online court records shows Olle has a criminal record going back to 2006 that includes misdemeanors for theft by check and a felony conviction for forgery.
If you have any information on Olle's wherabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS, or submit a tip online at www.888tips.com.
